Unified Multi-Broker Workflows: Linking Partner APIs for Seamless Cross-Account Execution
If you trade from more than one broker, your day probably looks like this. Open one app, place the order, open the next app, place it again. Repeat for every account.
It works, but it is slow. It is also easy to get wrong. A different quantity, a missed stop-loss or a forgotten account can all happen on a busy day.
A unified multi-broker workflow fixes this. Here is how it works with Cirrus.
Step 1: Connect each account once
You link each broker account through its official login. This can be your own account, your spouse's, your parents' or your HUF's. Cirrus keeps an encrypted token and never stores your password.
Each account also gets its own static IP, which you whitelist at your broker. SEBI's rules require this for API orders.
Step 2: Group your accounts
Name a group like "Family" or "F&O" and add the accounts that belong to it. From then on, you pick the group on the order ticket instead of ticking boxes every time.
Step 3: Place the order once
The ticket supports market, limit, SL and SL-M orders. You can trade intraday or carry forward, in lots or quantity. A margin preview shows what the order needs before you send it.
Your stop-loss, target and trailing protection travel with the order into every account.
Step 4: Read the result for every account
Each account's order is a separate order at its own broker. You can see which orders filled, which are still open and which were rejected, along with the broker's reason.
If one account is rejected for low margin, the others are not cancelled. They go through as normal.
One order does not mean identical orders
This is the part many traders like most. Each account keeps its own settings:
- Size: Use the smart multiplier so each account trades the quantity it can carry. If the base order is 2 lots, an account with a multiplier of 2 trades 4 lots.
- Order types: Bracket and cover orders need intraday, and GTT needs carryforward. If any selected account can't take an order type, the ticket tells you why.
- Accounts: Choose different accounts for different orders.
Add alerts to the mix
You don't have to place orders by hand. Each strategy gets a webhook URL. Paste it into a TradingView or Chartink alert, and when the alert fires, Cirrus places the trade on the accounts you picked, at the size you set for each one.
See everything in one place
The unified dashboard shows orders, positions, holdings and funds from every broker on one screen. If you work with a research analyst, you can give them read-only access to only the accounts and data you choose.
For developers, Cirrus offers scoped API keys, signed webhooks and OAuth apps, so you can build your own tools on top of your accounts.
What it costs
Cirrus Prime is ₹499 per account per month. The static IP costs ₹0 extra on IPv6 brokers like Zerodha, Upstox, 5paisa, Groww, Fyers and Alice Blue. On IPv4 brokers it is ₹350 a month. Pocketful accounts are free. Prices include GST.
The bottom line
Linking your brokers through their official APIs turns many separate chores into one routine. You place one order and see every result. You can set up your first account in about five minutes.
Investments in securities markets are subject to market risks. Algorithmic and derivatives trading can lose more than you put in. Cirrus is a technology platform and does not give investment advice.
